Had bad headaches a few months back, so went to the doctors, who then referred my to the Optician...had the eye test, and now I have to wear Spec's for reading and Using the PC.

I can still see fine without them, but the optician said because I'm getting on in years now, my eyes have to work allot harder to focus etc, so wearing spec's takes the stress off my eyes.

It's all about getting old. And YES I did go to specsavers. LOL;)

No offence intended Isaac, but you will be used to them, when you have spent 37 years without wearing them, they are a bit of a shocker.

Yep matey i know what you mean :) I felt like that when i first started wearin them, and i was in High School - possibly the worst time ever to start wearing specs! But i had no choice unfortuneately, i could'nt see what was on the friggin blackboard :(

No he was 65, and retired 1 month after doing my test. :wack:

Sure its not from too much :xxx: kim ?

I've had to wear glasses since I was 8, although switched to contact lenses when I was 14 and would be very strange to go back to glasses now.

No mate, you dont have a dog and bark ya'self...know what I mean, saying that, Our Lass, needs another eye test. ;)

It's a slippery slope when you start wearing glasses, your eyes get lazier and you use them more and more. Then you need stronger glasses etc. Try contact lenses, when used right they are better for your eyes and your eyesight will deteriorate more slowly.

Got meself a pair of Gregory`s several years ago, long sighted apparently ?

Can see fine close up, watch the telly, read, etc

But on the motorway, cant distinguish a Nissan from a Mazda without em !!

Also on 2 tablets a day for a heart condition !:(

Still work up to 14 hours a day when needed, as well as covering the 24hr call out recovery every 3rd weekend, so far from a lazy coont.

No too bad for a nearly 47 year old !!!

Mind you, I have had a hard life. Was in fine health until my cancer several years ago, that fooked me for over a year, but hey ho !;)

Cheer up Kim, it all downhill from here !

Even found myself turning the radio down at work ??:x:
