Hi to all the Zed owners,

 

Im still looking for the right Zed, after viewing one and tryin to find out as much as possible about these magnificiant cars I found this one on ebay, as currently there isn't really much up for sale.

 

I wanted a fresh import manual and possibly in silver or black.

 

In my surfing I found this example on ebay....330279465720...Its been up for sale for a while now Ive noticed it quite a few times on ebay.

 

Ive emailed the trader and he has told me that there is no record of cam belt change, so that would be first thing, but apart from that I have noticed from the pictures that even though its a twin turbo model it does not have the front bumper vents for the intercoolers.....and furthermore the wipers and battery are missing.

 

What do you Zed heads think, worth a look or walk away job?.....And what sort of price would you guys pay for this?

 

All help and advice would be for a up and coming ZEDDIE!!!!!

I would walk away.

that is an NA bumper on a TT. so no airflow to the intercoolers could or maybe already has caused problems.

Its a different shade of silver too.

That dent will require a whole lot of spraying to put right.

Any trader who cant even present the car fully fitted out. Ie with a battery and wipers fitted isnt worth doing business with.

Mate there is a black tt with some nice mods on ebay for 2900?

 

this one, just wants the rear clusters swapping for some 99 spec ones, i never seen the ones that are one it before, someone might do you a swap

The guy has put the price up to £2995, I see this one up for sale, the main reason I didn't check it out was the mileage I wanted something with less miles on it.

 

However it does seem a very nice example

well its a buyers market ATM.

Small bottles of cyanide are selling quicker than gas guzzling 3 litre sports cars.:)

What you have to bear in mind is the fact that 300ZXs are a rare car and you have to look long and hard to find nice ones. Its not like buying a vectra or a Mondeo where there are hundreds to choose from.

That one at Tamworth might be OK and at a grand less than his asking. However your lack of experience etc of the car means its better left alone in your case.

For my tuppence worth (that shows my age doesn't it), I'm facing much the same problem. Zeds are pretty scarce up here in Scotland, I looked at a couple this afternoon at a local "Import Specialist" and was not impressed :(

To my mind, I'll probably end up buying a member's car or one that comes recommended by a member.

There are many Zeds on Ebay and Autotrader but it would be all to easy to spend £1500 to £2000 and end up with an expensive dud.

Better to allow another £1000+ and get something quality.

Your right mate best to spend the extra on a model that has had all the necessary work done, rather than fall back a few steps and get it all done urself.

I currently own a Subaru Legacy GT Twin turbo, its a manual and in silver which I have up for sale on ebay, after I sell that I would be in a better position to choose a more preferred Zed, or if I can find a part ex with a suitable car I would go for it.
