Long and complicated job. its not just an engine you need to change. insurance will rocket as car is then classed as modified.

How long have you had it? Might be best to just try and get your money back out of it and then buy a TT :) Alot less complicated ;) :)

I'm sure others will have input to contribute :)

only just noticed this thread

i would sell the n/a rarther than convert, it seems a nice example from ur pics and u will certainly get back more than u paid but yeah i got qoute'd on a jap tt compared to a uk tt there was 645 pounds difference !! hth

I think ive just defo made up Atlast's mind, he popped over to mine just now and i took him out for a small blip on the dual carriageway and showed what a TT manual is like............................

Honestly keeping to the speed limit officer............:x:

The force is strong, my friend.

Converting is not popular in the UK, mainly becuase of how readily available and cheap TT's are anyway. I know of 3 conversions and have assisted with 1.

Much more popular in the U.S, although a lot of the converts over there are because they want a LWB TT becuase the LWB's only ever came as NA in the U.S

There are advantages to converting, such as having the NA rear diff and Subframe which has improved acceleration. A Converted NA>TT will be quicker than a regular TT. You can also upgrade the engine/turbos before fitting..etc

I guess the real choice comes down to the condition of your NA and how attached to it are you.

NOTHING LIKE A UK TT going full belt (especially) after a few mods)!

I know whats like a UK TT going full belt......a Jap TT going full belt LOL

the one i went in was a jap thinking on!!

just over (171,mph) (private track off course )

not had mine past the 100 mark as i know the restriction's gonna kick in anyway cant wait to whip it ioff and :smash:
