mullered a WRX

was at a set of lights next to a WRX, lights went green, i raised the clutch and it just slip unable to get grip on the flywheel whilst the scooby went off, clutch finally locked on, by which time the scooby was in front of me by 1/2 car length..but not for long, got upto 60ish (i think) and just flew by him leaving him for dust biggrin.gif. we got to the next set of lights and again, i mullered him up a long straight. we stopped in a lay by further up the road for a chat, and his car was a 94 WRX import, was debadged and still limited to 112mph, very nice nik and all that. i was running 1bar boost and was suprised by how much i took him to pieces biggrin.gif biggrin.gif. my friend has a normal scooby 220bhp and thats easy pickings really, but still amazed at how much i took him, not complaining of course.

Nice kill

I had a race with a modded WRX when I was AUTO and i smoke him badly as well.

Cant wait to race one now I am MANUAL.

An STI Type-R would be much more fun to race i guess.

...specially round the twisties... wink.gif

Rather pathetically an acne ridden creature asked me if I "fancy a race mate?" at a set of lights in Milton Keynes.. trouble was he was sitting there in an unmodded Nova 1.2 (not even an SRi... like that would have mattered anyway). Pissed myself laughing for a bit, then pointed out the police car two cars back. On reflection I should have just said "yeah alright" and let him go.. ha ha

Traffic lights in MK! you could only have been in a few places then smile.gif

ive given up racing other cars(im too fast!),unless its tvr's then i just pull up and have a fag.

its not worth havin the piss outa me and my car.bugger

Always have a go Jay! I raced a Cerbera at North Weald 2 weeks ago and beat it. He spun a bit on the line so I got a good start on him but even over such a big distance he was not really catching me, and I was really fealing the "Twin Turbos kick in" (just like the ad says). I was sure that he wouldn't get traction, it takes a good driver to launch a TVR without spinning, because they are so light, 1100KG. That's why I keep challenging my mate in his Cerb 4.2. Over a traffic light Grand Prix you have got an even better chance.

Any standard TVR except a 4.0 chimaera will eat a standard Z. I know I work at a TVR dealer! Until they break down of course!

KEEP IT SIDEWAYS;).

Erm not meaning to be pedantic but isnt the standard scooby 208 BHP? Sorry i know i am being picky im really sorry! frown.gif

Anyway good that you opened up a 300zx can of old style whoopass and whoopied him!

Some of these guyz in scoobies evo's etc seem to look at us 300 boyz in disgust sometimes........but thats only ever in my rear view mirror! LOL! wink.gif.........well apart from that 22b that i didnt even bother going near as it looked far to much of a beast guess i should have made an effort really.

Guess the 300zx and the scooby are totally different cars though 300's are much better once they are moving but obviously arnt as good with the bendy stuff as they are 2 WD although they are still better than most especially with uprated shocks+springs. On the motorway though which is where i do a lot of my driving to me the 300 will always be THE DADDY!!! That luuurvly V6 lump just keep pulling you along like nothing else and when the 2 litre boys run outa steam..... the zed just keeps going marvelous!.....well that is untill you realise your PVC's are doing there job worse than a welcome break breakfast attendant and oil starts peeing from the back of your crank! DOH!

yeh, since i got the boost controller going its been "come back zed all is forgiven!!", but i still pine for the acceleration the bike gives and that freedom feeling as well. nothing worse than being stuck in traffic when the bikes just sail through, then again nothing like being projected from a bike into a lorry either!!!
