Was lookin at them myself, seema a good price alright, I have to get bigger wheels first though :( or should that be :) lol

hey

for £600 for what looks like the same set up, with larger discs, i would say no.

you can get 350 zed track discs for approx. £100-£200 and relocating brackets for £50-£100 with the same effect with new pads.

if you want top q. brake set up, go for k-sport 6 or 8 pot calipers with discs and pads to match. will cost approx. £1200-£1600, but they will stop you on a piece of flysh1t from 100mph+

These are much bigger than Standard Zed calipers, so you cant really compare them to some brackets for using standard brakes.

They are more comparable to the GTR setup, which tends to go for around that price 2nd hand...so that makes this deal very well priced.

They are 3-4x cheaper than other Big brake kits. I dont however know much about the willwoods.

The K-sports are getting a good repuation, but they are still a budget Chinese brake setup. The top brake setups are from AP Racing, Stoptech, Rotora ...etc

looks like a bracket to me in the picture on e-bay. (the orange 1)

the wliwood calipers alone retail for approx. £120, unlike gtr calipers.

k-sport are only approx. £2-400 cheaper than ap racing, depending on what spec is quoted, not really budget.

I have Ksports 8pot on the fronts and 6pots on the rear and they are amazing i would highly recomend to anyone.

But they are really piss poor in the wets. all i can think off is because they have such a disc surface and i have open alloys they are constantly soaking.

So you have naff all stoping power untill the second bend or the 2nd time you brake hard. It like going back to the std braking power.

As i said the wilwoods seem a very good price. my set up should be just over 2K

Wilwood are good brakes, but one thing that I really don't like about them is the fact

that the Wilwood calipers don't have the dust covers protecting the pistons in the calipers.

This may/will lead to stuck pistons over time and even more so in countries were salt is used to de-ice roads during wintertime.

Yes, they have adaptors, My point was the Calipers are larger than Stock calipers.

K-sport (and their other name - D2) is a Budget brand, they cost nearly half the price of AP Racing brakes from the same supplier, the biggest market for them started on ebay, and you used to be able to get the Front brake kits for around £650 but retailers do seem to be pushing up the prices as popularity increases, about £800 now for K-sport front brake kit.

Thats not saying they are'nt good brakes, they have excellent feedback and it looks like they have introduced a well sorted brake package, unlike their coilovers.

I think the Brakes have amazing braking power but i have the rears aswell.

Whats up with the coilovers??

Also any one with massive discs and calipers have any problems in the wets ????
