And this is exactly why joe public shouldn't be allowed around the car on a dyno. There is a wel recorded incident a few years back where a tyre disintegrated whilst on a power run. It shredded and took out three "spectators" who were standing beside it. One will never walk again and the other two were permanently scarred.

 

I'm normally the first to criticise health and safety regulations as being absurd but in this instance some common sense would have gone a long way.

I agree Danny, and especially in this video in such a confined space aswell: :rolleyes:

 

You see all these lads hanging around these Max power type dyno events and it's only a matter of time for someone gets killed standing too close to the car.. Plenty of other videos on you tube of engines blowing up, catching fire and all sorts... Basic rule of a dyno, stand well back, keep your hands on your B0ll0ks and be prepared for something to go Pete Tong!!
