The member is welded in, new from Nissan is around £240, to swap you need to completely remove the radiator the air con condensor the electric fan the tension rod arms the upright support and the bumper of course to help get in to grind the original welds out.

Oh and the new one requires painting to protect it as it comes in the normal new panel coat only.

well that seems fairly straigh forward, only prob is the £240 buying price lol, have already got shot of the aircon, the rad comes out easy, the fan comes off easy (i think, and the bumper is just a bit fiddly

I've got to change mine too, hoping the one off the NA I'm breaking is in good nick. Might be worth you contacting a breaker for a good one ;)

That don't sound right. The front crossmember has to be dropped to take the engine out and that does not require grinding any welds off, besides is it then welded back in.

Which part is it? Where the tension rod bush is, or where the two bolts are?

You have the transverse link or tension rod bracked. Both look replaceable

Old Zed is totally right, the bit I'm talking about (and you probably are too) is the part that the radiator and air con rad sit above, hence the rust ;) that's welded in. The crossmember is bang smack under the engine.
