I've just come out of a meeting and had a few hours to spare. So came down to one of the parks overlooking Poole bay, and, what do ya know, it's 3G down here!

Hell, it's fast. Only ever used 3G on my phone for internet, always seemed to pick up 2G with my laptop modem dongle.

Well, it's quicker, by quite a bit over my broadband connection at home!

It's really nice and warm down here. Deserted and I've managed to find a bench and table outside that is now my office for the next hour! LOL

Have the odd dog walker looking at me rather strangely wondering what I'm doing. It's just odd being out in the middle of a field over looking the sea getting internet at a much higher speed than I do when I am at home! Quite an odd sensation actually.

I see the real interest in 3G. Before, it was a gimmick for people who wanted to make video calls. But now that everyone can see its benefit, yes, I agree, it's going to catch on. I think it's excellent!

Just a shame that our homes are still full of copper! I wonder when the phone companies are going to bite the bullet and start installing fiber optics like they're doing in mainland Europe.

Grammar!

Yep, can be pretty quick. I use 3G HSDPA as my home internet.

It's all very much dependent on your location and weather conditions. On a bad day, it'll drop down to ISDN speeds.
