After playing paintball for over 4 years, I attended my first airsoft session yesterday.

 

It was a corporate event organised by a friend who works for fords. It was an absolute blast, don't think I've ever had as much fun playing paintball.

 

So I decided last night that I'll be selling my paintball markers and kit and converting over to airsoft.

 

Anyone else on here play either airsoft or paintball ?. If you've played both, which do you prefer ?

 

If anyone wants to buy some paintball gear give me a pm and I'll let you know what I have.

Just trying to find a pic of my FAVOURITE guns, the Glock 23f, they are FULL auto at the switch of a button, killed many an opponent in pistal games with it!!

All the rules on this sport have changed now as they are replicas, unlike paintball. You have to register with a local airsoft event and attend a few times before you can go on a airsoft register. Once on that register you can then purchase the guns etc. I used Airsoft Armory in Chalfont and Wolf Armories in Camden for my stuff. Also check out http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk

Does it hurt when you get shot like in paintball? How can you tell when someone has been shot?

Yes it hurts, although i've never done paintball. the game rely's on honesty. If you don't put your hand up when shot then the person who shot you will generally put the gun on full auto and nail you, lol. That hurts!!

 

They do high power games with very strict rules, you get people having to squeeze bb's out thier cheeks, lol. I stuck to the Legal limit games. and if you don't ugrade your gun to the legal limit you'll be screwed !!

It doesn't hurt as much as paintball.

 

It's also not as messy, you don't have to stop every 20 mins to clean your goggles etc.

It's also 75% cheaper to play than paintball.

 

4000 bb rounds will cost you 1/4 of the price of 4000 paintballs.

 

My mate found out the hard way that he has to be honest when he gets hit. He denided being hit in the first game by a sniper with a laser sight. The next game the entire team was still shooting 2 seconds after he put his handup. He must have taken about 50 shots in those two seconds lol. Looked like he had measles when he took his top off.

If I'm honest mate I haven't got a clue where I was lol.

 

It's up near Harlow, CM21 0LT is the postcode but Sat Nav show's it as an unnamed road.

 

You won't be able to get a 300zx there though as it's off road for about 1/2 mile to get to the enterance of the place. I didn't realise this but it just so happens the 300zx was off the road still so I took the Beema.

Theres a pretty good site in High Wycombe too.

 

In London, theres an indoor arena, never been myself but everyone says its awesome, You need Tourches and lazers though!! Its in Epsom

love airsoft never tried paintball? but as a firearms license holder i prefer the real thing !! go to my gun club at least twice a month and a club shoot on a RAF range roughly once a month

are the rangers down burton/flint bridge border??? used to take my pair of jack russels for rabbit down there and the red flag was normally flying on a sunday with the sound of some serious hardware going on;)

Yep well into paintballing as you can see by my sig.

My main marker is a fully modded tippman A5 with a standard Ion as my backup.

 

Before anyone takes the piss I'm an ex-squaddie with 10yr under my belt, not like some wanna be's errrrrmmmmm...... crotchrocket:D:tongue:

I have another starter Marker (can't remember the make)

Carbon canister for Ion,

Canister cover,

Spare Ion grips in different colours,

A few face marks, one double thermal polyurathine,

Empire gloves (full fingers)

Other gloves armoured fingless,

Dye & Empire clothing,

Dye paintball shoes (black size 10 - I think),

All the accessories like pot holders, pots, barrels etc etc.

 

Probably other stuff that I can't remeber as well.
