Is the Skyline better than that nice black Z you sold?

 

Faster than that nice black Z you sold?

 

Or do you wish you never sold it?

 

Reason I ask Glenski is that Latz has both,and much preferes the Z.

The Skyline is much faster off the mark and has huge amounts of traction though my Zed had a standard ECU and the GTR has a TRUST ECU and Abbey have raised boost to just under a Bar (the safe Max for standard ceramic turbines) - though having driven a Zed with B/C + ECU running 1 Bar I still think the GTR is quicker.

The thing with the GTR is it FEELS like a racing car, the suspension set up, the torque, the traction and the engine - no body roll it feels glued to the road, it also goes against what you expect as a driver. If the back loses traction and you dont keep the power on you can lose the back just as easy as a Zed, but if you keep your bottle and power on the Attesa does its trick and keeps in on the track.

The seats in a GTR are superb, functional. The Zed seat I hate, nice looking but gave me a backache.

There is no comparison engine wise, the VG30DETT is a great engine, but the RB26DETT is probably the best engine fitted to an affordable car.

The zed looked much much better, went about as well in a straight line all things taken into consideration, had T-tops (love em), much more stylish inside got many many more stares and looks but I would take the GTR all day everyday.

I miss the Zed but not as much as I would miss not having my GTR.

 

They are both great cars, in different ways.

 

I think when I am in a position to do so, I will have another Zed aswell as the GTR.
