I've never had an auto, although I've driven one, but is the little check control on the right hand side of the steering column for AT models? The left hand side is fine, CC and HICAS plus others etc.

I've never seen anything light up there, or at least I don't think I have!?

Thanks for the link. I've not actually seen that. Interesting. One thing I am puzzled by though is why he didn't cut the panels out and fit plastic shrounds round them rather than having what looks foam at the top and bottom. The bezel could have been modified with additional plastic and some resin + a bit of plasti-colour paint.

The idea is the route I am going to go.

Thanks Graham. :) although that one's from a TT. Series 2 I'd guess.

On closer inspection, looks like the areas where the check controls are different to RHD/LHD Zs. Whilst the HICAS etc stuff is on the side opposite the ignition on RHD models, it's on the same side as the ignition on the LHD models. Just meaning you have less space to play with on the side the auto/trans check control is. IE, the ignition takes up a proportion of the blank space.

Might see if I can get a US bezel.

UK models have a seperate cooler over the JDM ones iirc, so I guess they have a warning light for that. Mine is a JDM.

This is what I mean. This is Steve's car. Wondering if on later models, the check controls got fitted within the main dash clustors?

You can see the blands where they would have been.
