Feels like it's coming from up behind the dash, so wondering if there's a slight leak from the servo? It's not prevalent during light braking, but moderate to hard braking at low speed, it can be heard.

The brakes and clutch feel fine, very good infact for stock brakes and master cylinder.

Am I correct in thinking it may be a seal from the servo and air is leaking slightly under pressure? If so, is there a fix for it?

hi funky

not had this on mine, but had the same noise when i put the clutch down. took it to jeff at "zedworld" and it was the clutch booster leaking.

could be the same but on the brakes for you, the brake booster is like a servo to assist the clutch movement, brake servo to assist the brakes.

maybe this is the problem.

Thanks mate, I had thought it might be the servo. I'll check out getting a new brake booster. Strange; everyone moans about the Zs stock brakes, other than the noise, they work very very well. I have fresh fluid in the system, new pads and good disks. The pistons also slide in and out nicely.

Yes, I have the same noise and its definately coming from inside the car. When I had my car serviced at Zedworld, Jeff said he had fixed it. Something about a rubber popping out, he popped it back in and all was well for a while, but then it came back......after a few months, so I guess 'IT' has popped out again:headvswal

Yep, brake booster leaking. Readily available used (unlike Clutch Servo's which you cant usually get used).

Its not a common problem with them.

Its pretty straightforward, but awkward having to lie upside down under dash.
