Hi, well its official I need to upgrade my ecu. I have rebuilt turbos, and 555 injectors trying to run on my standard ECU apparently.

Subsequently the turbos are restricted a bit at the moment. I have been advised to get and AEM stand -a- lone ecu. My power reading today was 280.02 ????

Me.....NOT a mechanic or car genius. Any ideas, and not too expensive, Or has anyone got a spare they could sell me.

Thank you all.

Just get you ECU remapped for 555's either John Dixon or Andy Z will do that for you and a boost controler. Total cost about £350. AEM is only needed it your going for a serious fully fordged internal engine with monster turbos and seeing big power. Then you'd be looking at a 360 degree fuel rail and 740/850injectors etc.

Nice looking car there buddy just needs some bigger fatter wheel to fill the arched and put some more rubber on the road.

PS I have some 17" 3 peice Work split rims for sale with nice rubber.

Hi MARK, Thanks for that. Mmmm that sounds interesting re the ECU, do you the tel numbers of these guys. As for the wheels they are 17'' and I have just had them fully refurbished. But thanks anyway

Andy and John both on here if you do a member search and PM them.

I have JD's number but I don't like giving it out without asking him first

I have one of John Dixons ECU's, running 555 injectors etc.

My car has NEVER suffered from det, even at 1.2 bar on a warm day, car goes really well, no flat spots etc.

Recomended. :-).....

I have a brand new unused chip from DTA who is a Trader on the site. The chip is to suit 555's all you need to do is get your ECU socketed.

Would be a much cheaper opsion.

PM if you want to know more details

Dan

hey mate. As the guys say get a jd ecu i have an aem but it was about a grand and unless your going to loose the maf and go for forged internals etc internals etc i would just get your car airpee would in do

bloody mobile phone impossible to type ! Dont listen to spc the guys on here know best

If you just want your ECU socketed and use someone else's chip that's fine with me.

However, I don't really understand how you have 555cc injectors on a standard ECU, without some modifications. It just wouldn't run right.
