Opened car this morning and lock felt strange when turning the key then when I got to work the drivers door would not lock, the key seems to go round further than usual and their is no resistance. Locked the door by crawling from pasenger side to activate internal lock then locked pasenger side door.Will take of door panel later when I get home what am I likley to find has any one had this problem before?

Sounds like the little linkage bar clips have dropped open and the link itself is loose or the clip has snapped. It's a five minute job when you get the panel out so shouldn't be a problem buddy

it will be broken - it's a little yellow plastic clip... someone posted some images yesterday... not difficult to replace though; apparently on later models it was swapped for a metal clip, so if you can find one of those it'll be much better.

 

Other than that, the one from the passenger side will swap accross - but if that snaps too you;ll be a bit stuck!!

you got it right rich and danny yellow plastic clip broken the same way as shown in dannys old thread going to take it into workshop tomorrow to see if I can fix it or make one more or less the same but ouy of metal.let you know how I get on

Sweet metal clips. Didnt know they changed them. Hopefully i can get the metal ones and never have to worry about my passenger going on me and having to refab one from metal (Did for my dirvers).
