Got a spare plenum and looking to do a water bypass as well as other things when I pull my engine.

 

Ive removed all the hoses and rails etc on the underside as the Plenum pull and water hose bypass procedure states. Just trying to work out how to remove the pipe connectors, as shown in the pics. Do I drill where ive labeled in the pic to remove the pin inside the pipe connectors or is there something else I should do? How do I remove the other pipe connectors, because I cant see how i can drill them out.

 

 

One other thing, the wires have come out of the connector that plugs into the TPS. Could someone tell me which wire goes where, ie I have three wires:-

 

Light green, black stripe

Light green, red stripe

Dark green, red stripe

 

Which goes in the top, middle and bottom of the connector, its so I can repair them.

Cut them off with a dremmel.

the one at the back should be bolted on (if you undo the valve it should come off).

the ones on the throttle bodies are a little trickier, there will be a tiny pin that needs drilling out, once drilled out clamp the pipe in a vice and gently tap the throttle body with a rubber malet, and it should slide right out ;). the others by the PCV's will have to be cut. or you could just leave them.

as for the TPS.........

 

top.........light green and red

middle.....dark green and red

bottom....light green and black

 

you only need to connect the top two though, light green and black can be tied back

Finally got round to looking at the Plenum again. I've managed to remove the pipe in the bottom picture. Still a little confused about the top picture.

 

Going from what Silverbullet said, do i have to cut the pipe off where i've put 'Drill Here' and the other ones by the Throttle Bodys need to have the pin drilled out. Where abouts would i have to drill to hit the pins? Would i have to drill in the end of the pipe or from the side?
