which boost controller?

Thinking of a boost/chip upgrade, and not sure which boost controller to go for - any ideas?

Yep I took a while over which boost controller. Looked at the GReddy Profec-A etc.

 

Blitz in the end for me. Not installed yet though, few probs to sort out first.

 

Have seen Iains though and the ID Meter with the SBC-ID Cadburys boost controller is the bolliocks!!! wink.gif

blitz is a goody.

I have the Apexi-AVC-R...

 

Works fine for me, but I've heard of enough faultly ones to put me off buying one again. Also I heard the guarentee was only 30days or something crap. Worth noting!

 

Features I'd make sure I got form another make would be...

 

Obviously - Speed,revs,boost and TPS postion with maximum memory.

The feature to set the boost differently for each gear is nice when you start to go for a lot of power. The TPS voltage monitor is great for checking on TPS problems! And the mapping of max duty / psi for each rev band is also nice.

 

One of the nice gimmics that works well is the auto dimming display as it gets more dark on the display.

Boost controllers can be very complex and clever gadgets.

 

I would say that 99.99999999 percent of them working how they should is down to the installation and initial setup!
