Car Heaters/Car Windscreen Demisters

Featured Replies

They aint working in my BMW - do u think it would be a fuse or sumthing more serious?

My dads s-class has a similar problem, the heater/blower sometimes works and it sometimes does'nt, i found out it is the 'blower unit' (or whatever its called) on its last legs :( Its pretty easy to get to on the merc though, just under a load of plastic trim!

My 1996 5 series has the same problem, it keeps blowing the fuse located under the rear seat(one of the green ones), everytime i replaced it as soon as i switch on the de-mister you can hear it popping so it must be shorting out somewhere but i could never be bothered to find out why.

Check the fuses under the rear seat next to where the big black relay boxes that operate the electric windows, i think they are only green and brown fuses under there i think they are 25amp and 30amp.

It should also be printed on the black removable cover what each fuse is for.
