I did something a bit stupid last week!

I decided to peel off the 'Fairlady' sticker on the back of my Z. Unfortunately I managed to peel up some of the black rubbery material under it with my thumbnail (I didn't think it was spongy)! I've stuck the flap of black material back down (it's only about 1cm square) but it looks a bit crappy now. I would like to take the Nissan sticker off and get a new one to stick over the scuff mark I've made.

Does anyone know where I get a new sticker from?

I wish I'd just let the Fairlady stick on now!

Cheers,

Andy

The Fairlady sticker came off in bits so is now in the bin - sorry.

am i the only one here who thinks the fairlady badge should be left on. i think its funky with the z badge on the front as well

I love the Z badge on the front, just didn't like my mean looking motor being called a 'Fairlady', it just doesn't seem to fit.

Anyone know where I can get a sticker from?

The guy I got mine off removed the sticker whihtout leaving any marks. I could ask him if you like? I agree though that the title of Fairlady is not particularly in keeping with this car but then the Fairlady sticker keeps it more original I suppose which is how I am intending to keep mine. Of course this might all change when I meet up with you guys and your hotrods !!

its also good for winding people up think how vexxed they get when a fairlady passes them

Because I actually damaged the material on the back of the car, I need a new sticker to cover up the damage.

It would be useful to know how I should have done it though.

the cars a failrlady , so i think it should be left on, (can you imagine a boyracer pulling up in his golf thinking aahhhh easy meat) and then baam!!! lol

Just ordered a Nissan sticker from the main dealer for about a tenner.

If the black strip is 'spongy' then you may have a problem brewing. I had the same thing when I bought my car (UK Model). The spoiler's made out of high density (heavy) foam. I think it is quite common that they 'rot'.

I had my spoiler replaced with a fibreglass replica, which is about £200 cheaper than the OE. Now the boot lifts easier and the car looks much smarter without the black strip pealing away. Yours may be okay, but the steel strip inside had rusted in mine.

I bought the NISSAN and the TWINTURBO stickers from the main dealer along with the black trip, in total about £27. To be honest I didn't have the bottle to put the black strip on (I'm the kind of person that paints his house, instead of hanging wallpaper) but now I'm used to the car with no badges.

What I would like to try - if anybody knows someone who can make them, are some badges made from aluminium. So they look like the silver raised badges you get on some cars.

Anyone know anyone???

I covered my front UK nissan badge up by going to a shop that makes trophies and got them to make a small engraved aluminium plate that says 300ZX. Took two attempts though, the first one said 3002x, he couldn't read my writing. Looks good and has been on there ever since I have had the car, 9.5 years.
