I'm very interested in buying a Z, and the seller very kindly sent some photos, one of which is the eng comp.. On the nearside suspension strut bulkhead there is a very messy area that appears to be mastic of some sort. Does anyone else have this on their car ? (see pic - sorry about the crude black line, I'm not much of a dab hand with Photoshop :wack:)

Just looked and there is a line of mastic in a join but in that pic it looks like a repair

Yep thats been repaired. As said, its a common place for corrosion to occur. Its an Import which must have been in the country for a long time.

Be sure to check the rest of the vehicle carefully for rott, particularly around the sills in front of the rear wheels and in the panels behind the rear wheels under the back bumper.
