But just to update you all, it's still going on. I had the car on the road with a tempoary (but dodgy) ngine which I blew up last month! In the background Jimmer has been building me a new engine with Wiseco pistons, eagle rods, cometic head gasket and 800cc injectors which is almost done.

So with the engine dead it was time to get started on the next stage so the old engine is out and today the autobox is out,all the piping for the TT system is out, hicas is out and lastly air con is out :smash:

I'm sure the car will be 100kg lighter by the time it's all gone!! So going back in is a manual box and the new engine with the T78 turbo, I will post some pics in the next few days, right now I'm off for a well earned :duffer:

Know that feeling to mate, always a question of ' if I actually get 5 minutes as opposed to when I get 5 minutes' :D

how are you splitting the feed to both banks so its even if you dont mind me asking?

One inlet and one outlet for the intercooler, then a Y hose directly in line with the outlet (centre line) so should send roughly equal amounts of air/pressure along each leg of the hose. Think it will be more even than 2 outlets off the intercooler as closer to the throttlebodies.

All empty awaiting the engine that Jimmer has just finished :hyper:

With the the single turbo there's load of bits that I don't need so stripped them out. So as well as the airbox and the Y inlet hose I've stripped this lot out!

Can i advise you to change them steering rack bushings while engine is out coz the driverside one is a pita to change in situ, They cost F-all and made a hell of a difference to the response of the wheel. :D You may aswell change the steering pivot bush while your at it too :D http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/products/stainless-steering-bush.html

Keep on keeping on :D

I have also binned the hicas and relocated the fuse box and power steering tank for a cleaner look, what do you think?
