I have just dropped out my auto box and I am now looking at the wiring. There are three plugs by the hicas which the wires went to the auto box. Do I need these now or are they redundant?

Couldn't find any write ups so making it up as I go along. I have my engine out as well, is yours still in?

the large grey one will be used to bypass the inhibitor.

So bin the other 2?

 

No, one is for the reverse light and the other is the neutral switch.

So the bottom one (large grey) is wired to the box?

 

The smaller grey one and orange one, I don't get what he has done, I have a manual loom and there are no plugs for these. Has he joined them or just cut and taped over them?

all i did with my conversio was bridged the two wires for the starter inhibutor and the blue wire and the geen and white wire for the reverse lights and ive not had any problems with the car so this way worked for me

Another thing I found is the 3 plugs behind the head light, the biggest one is 8 pin on the manual loom and 6 pin on the auto?
