When someone tells you the right one to get (can't remember the exact rating right now and not in the Zed today), try Halfrauds if you can get hold of a trade card. Believe it or not, they were the cheapest place I could find for the one I just bought, and that was for a calcium based one with a 4 year warranty. Been great ever since. The only problem I have with it is that the terminals are the wrong way round (probably cos mine's an import) so I'll have to put a bit of an extension in at some point to tidy things up. Oh, and the big Halfords sticker... gotta get rid of that! I THINK the one I have is 650CCA.

Termnals wrong way around as its incorrect battery, not an issue other than terminal location though. Terminals are the same for UK and Jap.

cheers dave, im gonna take my old battery to my local ..........battery shop lol..... and see what they can get me, just wanted to make sure i had the right one in to start with

I got a good one by sorting out one of the guys at a company who supply batteries to the trade. £65 + some beer money.

It's an 85 amp hour, which is the correct way round for an import and fits in the battery tray. Only down side is it is not quite as tall so I made a couple of wooden blocks to go on the top so the clamp is secure.

If you want make & model i'll get it when i get home?

Hmm - must've heard incorrectly somewhere then. I was sure someone said that they are the other way around, which is why I didn't take the battery back! So, once again, it looks like Halfords are just bloody useless... Might go back and tell them so.

All of the battery catalogues are incorrect from what I've seen, not just halfords. They have the z31 fitment listed for z32.

 I tried at least 6 specialist battery places and local garages before Halfrauds gave me the cheapest price of £68 - only to have my sodding terminals the wrong way round. Where did you (and StellaZ) go to exactly??

068 or 088 will both fit and the standard battery cover will fit on these as they are exactly the same dimensions as the oem nissan one.

You can use an 096 but its about an inch shorter in height and an inch longer in legnth which means you will have to take out the plastic protective tray under the battery to make it sit right.

Splitfyr3 halfords probably gave you an 069 as all the catalogues list an 069 but it should say 068 only difference being the terminal layout.

Cheers mate - I'll go ask them about that when I get chance...
