hi guys and gals i have floppy gearstick is there bushes i can purchase to rectify the problem and make my floppy gearstick stiffer cheers cullly:mac1:

also got this issue.

 

along with a leather gaiter, that looks like a dog has been playing with it :smw:

there is a little blue pill for a floppy gearstick :D

or you can repalce them with Solid Brass bushings for a smoother change, more direct feel and no more having to replace them when they fail.

I replaced mine with plastic bushes when I first got the car, but they didn't seem to last long before it started to wobble again shortly after. So I then replaced them with short lengths of copper pipe with a washer at each end. Not a wobble since. :)

Might be worth thinking about a short shifter while you at it.

 

 

I got the premium shifter from Z1, only thing is, it's for a left hooker so slightly angled the wrong way.
