http://www.no1showplates.co.uk allow you to produce a number plate of size 16" x 4.5" (whereas the standard UK size is 20.5" x 4.5") - would this still be legal?

if you deviate form the standard dvla plates it isn't legal is what i have been told.

The boobies down here have nothing better to do. So they concentrate on stupid things like your number plate being the wrong font.

That's not a bad thing, it probably means crime is quite low but I guess people most don't see everything in perspective.

Crime is incredibly low, but the constabulary down here do sometimes get rather petty as a result.
