Cheers bud,

I wasnt too happy when the guages first arrived as they were supposed to be white faced, to match the dash clocks, however, ive grown to like them as they are more discreet.

cheers

Holy crap mate that looks awesome! What gauges have you got there and where from? I'm still looking to get you to sort out an LED conversion for mine at some point if you are still doing that...

  • Author

Thanks very much.

Yes mate, still doing the conversions, the El dials i got from a company in swindon and the guages from a company in Scotland, both available from their ebay shop.

I will dig out the links and post up

Brilliant mate - cheers. I usually only like the gauges with the needles (not keen on digi ones) but yours look like the best of both!

Have you got any time in the next few weeks to look at doing my LEDs? If so, what do you need?

  • Author

Yes i have most of each mid week off, generally work weekends, i need the 2x pod fronts, ign ring and hazard switch. Just PM me when you are ready to move and i will give you the address.

Cheers

Graham

Lol - would love to mate. If I could. Not subscribed yet though :wack:

Do you want to drop me an email at karl.bowles(AT)ntc-europe.co.uk or info(AT)BowlesITS.com and I'll sort it out with you that way.

Fed up with this lack of rights stuff - think I'll be doing a £20 bank transfer tonight ;)

  • Author

Have mailed you.

It is worth subscribing, not just for the rights, but everything else the club has to offer.

Jae at the weekend alone was worth alot more than the £20 it costs to sign up.

Worth every penny.

  • 1 year later...

blantantly plugging graham's work here.:cool3:

here are pics of my blue led conversion, done of course by graham (groover).

i have done the glove box one myself by just attaching the two prongs in to make the connection.

you cannot see it but the ashtray as been done also, not so bright this one but better than it was before.

i have moved down the air bag red bulb/holder which stays lit all the time now as i dont have steering wheel bag and put it so it lights up the greddy bit, a red plastic lens for this in time will make the effect even better.

me and graham are going to try and make the 'a' pillar gauges blue also.

Nice one Andy, by the way what exposure did you use on the camera lol:scared:, the door switches look brighter than they appear in the flesh:wink:

Nice work though, you got there in the end:bow:

I cannot recommend Grahams work highly enough!! He did a complete blue LED dash for my car along with the EL dials and it looks stunning -

Graham - what are the three gauges you are running on the top of the centre dash? Where did you get them from and what are they reading? How much were they and did you need to convert them to match the rest of the dash? What kind of pod are they sitting in? They look so cool with that start up procedure.

Also, what do I need to do to get the glovebox light and cigarette lighter to match the rest of the work you have done for me? Is is a simple switch?

Please let me know as I am so close to getting this all finished now (new stereo/DVD/DVB/Reversing cam is all in now with new speakers all round!!)

Top job as always mate - Regards and Happy New Year - Cyrus

Thank you Cyrus, hope you had a good new years eve,

The 3 dials were not that expensive, i will try and dig out the link from the place i got them from. They are called plasma dials, i got mine in black, they already illuminate in blue and have red led segments rather than a needle. In the video i only have the volt meter wired and to be honest thats still the only one i hve wired in to work at the mo till i get the temp sensor fitted to the water pipe and the oil press sensor done

The gauge holder is the mk1 version from the z centre £50, but you need to cut a nice big hole in your dash:sweatdrop:

I will stick the led bulbs in with the chrome rad bracket, simple plug and play.

:turned::turned:

it may look bright but as you well know it is absolutely perfect. i am soooooo pleased.

you wont need the red leds for temp and fuel if you have EL dials.

And it reads you supply EL dials and me fit, ie either buy the EL dials yourself from say the zcentre and i will fit them as part of the dash option

Hi Graham, I like the look of your work. I've got Autometer Nexus guages which I run in red. Would you be able to convert the mines speedo and main dash to look the same? And as I only live in southampton could I bring the motor to you to get the work done?

Hi Bob, i dont mind if you want to come over, but it will be alot cheaper posting or putting a parcel on the redjet unless you can get a cheap day return. Anytime you want really, just let me know.

Cheers

Graham
