Did you just glue it in place? I havnt fitted mine yet but I bought some super strong double sided tape.

I used an epoxy glue that sets in 5 mins to mount it and used a small amount of black sealant around the edges, if your are using 3m or double sided tape, use alcohol wipes or similar to get rid of any silicon from the area of the dash or it wont stick, you could use adhesive promotor also which will help it stick.

Ianl used silcon sealant and used a couple of clamps and some foam to hold it down till it sets

HTH

cheers

I only chose double sided tape because I thought it would be abit cleaner incase it ouzed out when applying any pressure and stuck my finger's to the top of the dash.

How big was the hole you had to cut in the dash, and is there anything underneath to watch out for?.

I've made a template, just havn't got round to doing it yet.

i tried double sided tape and it didnt work very well as there is not much surface area on the pod that actually touches the dash

I used a dremmel with a cutting blade to cut the plastic and a stanley knife for the top layer of vinyl, as ian said there is a plastic pipe to the left of the hole for the air ducts, try not to muller that, and there is the plastic strengthening bar to cut through, as ian's write up without the hospital visit lol.

Cheers bud, no its carbon fibre effect, a dash kit from the US that is resin coated about 3mm thick to give it the raised effect, i didnt bother with the screen vents as they dont meet up properly and will also creat sun glare.

Hi Maz, and anyone else who might be interested, this is the ebay link to the guy i get the 5way led dash bulbs from, you only need 4 bulbs, but this link supplies 5 as a package and are the cheapest i have found anywhere. They come from Hong Kong and will take 4-5 days for delivery but for the price, worth the wait.

He is a reliable source and no-one should have any problems.

Why am i putting this link up?

I used to get them from another source who is no longer doing the 5way leds and they used to cost me £10 for 4, this is also the amount i charged to members, so did not profit from the re-sale.

There is no point in me ordering them, getting them posted to me and then me forward them on to you.

So i thought i would share the info with fellow members.

Cheers

Graham
