I read pretty much every thread about Brake pads on this forum.

Seems like the Majority are saying Ferodo DS2500 are the best pads to get with Mintex 1155 coming in 2nd, followed by a number of others like Portfields and Hawk and then a few even say EBC are good (however I don't like EBC pads).

These pads will be fitted once I rebuild my calipers.

I have 338mm Original Brembo discs.

R33 GTR Calipers

These are currently fitted with Portfields.

My main problem is Brake sqeel, I absolutely hate it. So much to say I am willing to sacrifice a little stopping power if it means less squeel.

So do I go with DS2500 or mintex ?. Do you still get squeel with both no matter how much copper ease you use with the shims ?

where can you buy proper brembo discs for r33 calipers? any1 got a linky?

i have to same thoughts as stuart really... want to stop well but couldnt put up with pigs under my arches!

by the way... stu the r33 standard discs are 324mm... yours are 338?

Hi Joely

I did exactly like Stu and got the 330 Brembo discs which cost about £350 perpair from Tweeks + my discount. Because the standard 324mm R33/R34 GTR discs are £700 per pair.

The 330mm fit perfect with no problems at all.
