Hi,

How much of the rear of an N/A is needed to swap the diff onto a TT? Do the hubs get swapped over too?

Cheers

Vijay

no just the subframe and diff itself including driveshafts.

got one if you want one ?

Although it can be easier just to swap the whole thing, including hubs, rather than dissassmble only the required bits

What is the advantage of that???

Cheers :)

4.08 ratio instead of a 3.69. Which means you gain acceleration with the sacrifice of some top speed. A very favorable modification by those that have done it.

Thanks David :)

Maybe a stupid question......but is it a noticible difference? And what does it reduce the top speed to?

Im fitting a NA rear end in mine at the moment, but not yet driven it.

I've only been in a NA converted TT, so I did'nt see a Before and After Diff swap, but its impressively quick through the gears, and noticeably quicker than a Regular TT with comparable mods

But from everything I have read and those I have spoken to about it who have first hand experience they say its very noticable. I know one of the Tuners in the U.S did some comparitive tests on the same vehicle and found it knocked half a second of their 0-60 times.

Still capable of 165+ mph, and it will get there a lot sooner :)

WOW  Half a second, very impressive! :D

Sorry to hijack, but would a TT diff fit in a N/A subframe?

I'm thinking of putting a N/A subframe on my TT so I can do away with the HICAS completely.

No, the mounting points are different. Have to fit NA subframe.

Are the N/A diffs LSD? And what sort of money?

Yes, L.S.D. We sell the Diff's desperately to NA owners for £100, or the entire Diff and subframe to TT owners wanting to convert for £200.
