The smoke on overrun and tickover is now at silly levels so I started striping the car ready for engine removal, (its fitted into an s13), started with a compression test, 2 cylinders at 145, 4 at 150+.

 

There are no signs of any contamination with oil on the inlets, so hopefully its just worn oil seals on the exhaust housing end.

 

Going to rebuild both using diy kits, should be interesting, will add some pics as I go.

Its the driver side turbo that's looking a bit dry, the passenger side fed from the pressure switch looks fine, I'm going to see if I can get them off and make sure they not blocked completely, no kinks or twists in the pipes that I can see.

Turbos rebuilt, engine re fitted and running, nothings come flying out the exhaust yet, MOT tomorrow and then its off for a proper run and 16psi, that should show up any problems, will post up some more pics after JAE, Its nice to have it running again.
