Ahhh Haaaaa!!!

I can. You thought this was gonna be a trick question.

The lockation pins on the 90/91 dash are in a different place than the 92+.

Look at the 92 dials. 1 location pin is near the 60mph and the other near 105mph and its also on the wrong side

Look at the 90/91 dials and the location pins are placed in a different place and are almost mirrored the 92+ ones.

I noticed this when I had to buy new dials for my Z when my speedo stopped working. I have a 91 and the dash was from a 94. Everything fit correctly but the electrical sockets didnt fit in the back. I presume this is because of the Air Bag and seat belt sensors.

So I took the dials out and put them in my dash but I did notice that the holes on the dial cards where a location pin went where in different places. Didnt make much difference because the 6 screws that held the dials in place was enough.

Why you thinking of buying? Dont forget they are for US dials and only go upto 160mph.

I think Smithy is planning to make some. He has had my spare dials for nearly a year now.

Any news on them Smithy?

Stuart

Yep, I think the differences are a Series I/II thing. I put early UK dials in my Series II Jap and had to spend about half an hour doing a mix'n'match with speedo assemblies and cases etc. The fuel gauge is also physically different.
