yesterday morning i was driving to work and suddenly the car it wont change in to 3 and 4 gear for some reason ,last night started the car again push the break to put in to gear but gear stick it wont move ,i can put it in gear if i press the little buton at the front but is still the same ,it wont change up.Please if anyone had similar problems let me know cos i really need the car to go to work

when you drove it and noticed it wouldnt change into 3rd did the car just die when you let the revs go back down? just curious as this is what mines does but only does it when its in the drive position if its in the 2 position doesnt do this. just i think mine has the same problem as yours

no,the engine didn't die it just stayed in to second but i'm thinking now...i've donne the same thing when i had the other gearbox aswell ...just before it happened because i have one of the abs sensor faulty the abs light is coming on and i've turn the ignition off and them quik back on to turn the light off but i've done this while i was is D and i think it was 2 gear... and then it stayed in 2 ,so i don't know exacly what happend but tonight i've open the other gear box wich was doing exacly the same thing to see if is something wrong but i can't see nothing mechanicly wrong and i took the all box apart...i don't know a lot about the autoboxes but last time when i opened o box ,some of the cluch plates were stuck together and that was the problem but now i can't see nothing wrong..maybe is something electrical but is not coming on diagnostic.... any ideeas about all these???
