Why when i read different reviews in different books and magazines they all seem to have contradictory information as regards the the performance figures of the 300zx...some say they have 276bhp and some say 300bhp, some say 0-60 is 5.6 and others say 5.2 some say a top speed of 149 and others 156...

whats this all about?

Don't forget there are different types, LWB/SWB TT/NA etc etc.

Top speed seems a bit low, are you sure they aren't for the Z31.

Darrell

n/a zeds still have better top speed !

Hence the Z31 comment.

Don't forget top speed is limited by the ECU to 155mph as stock on UK models. The speedo might be reading 160+ with all the error factors included ;)

Hi,

One of the most reputable magazines at the time the UK 300ZX was launched was Autocar. They used what was then state of the art measuring equipment, whereas some other magazines only used stopwatches back then!

Here's a link to a copy of the original UK Autocar road test........

Thats an interesting read, thanks JEZ300Z
