Hi,

Took my ZX in for some warranty work to the dealer I got it from, whilst waiting i had a quick look around his showroom.

It had a nice looking red ZX TT J spec 1990 for £19500. Wow I thought, so I took a closer look..

400 - 800 BHP variable boost

Massive set of 4 speakers taking over the boot/rear seat space.

Body kit, alloys etc, large rear spolier..

The owner of the garage said they had imported it from japan, where it was used to race for 2 seasons. I think he said they had rebuilt/repaired it over 2 years...

Supposidly they had to spend thousands doing it up, new uprated turbos etc..

Chap said it would do over 200mph...

0-60 in 5secs i think he said

I am not a car or ZX expert, so this car sounds expensive to me wink.gif

I know alot of you have upgraded your cars, what do you think?

Hmmm, I hope that it does 0-60 in quicker than 5 seconds. Stock TT is said to be 5.2seconds

Mine does it in 4.8,and my car stands me at 26k too frown.gif

Its great fun giving them more bhp, wheels, kits etc.

But you never ever going to get anything near the money you spent if you sell it.

KEEP IT SIDEWAYS;).

lets face it nobody is gonna draw more than 14-15k for any z in the uk now look at that bullshitter at billing who said his car had cost him 30k+ and his wheels had cost him 3k+ there's too much bullshit around with z's to make them a viable proposition when selling anymore

ive got mine for 5.5k and its 400 bhp im happy smile.gif

I think 400bhp is what I would like. Nice and powerful but not really going mad on costs.

First rule of Marxist retail - something is only worth what people are prepared to pay for it.

And on that basis I am the proud owner of a 1940's vintage ceramic teapot, of which I am very proud.

And some Aylesbury Ducks, 3 of em.. they quack at me in the morning when they want some food.. excellent !

Maybe - but I reckon a last of the line 99-2000 Z32 would still command a decent price over here.

Tooley what do you mean bullshit? He has owned that car for sometime now,it is only the last couple of years the market has crashed on them.

How much do you think AndyP or DaveW paid for theirs? around 20k in stock trim!

So 10k on top of that is nothing, for full leather,Strosek kit,and engine mods.

Like I said mine stands me at around 26k,but I am not finished yet Hybrids,Nismo injectors etc.

Will be over 30k easy.

NO Way will I expect to get anywhere near that if I ever sold it.Cars are dead money,it is property that makes you ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ wink.gif.

I actually paid £14K plus the stereo and alarm for mine, but that was 4 years ago and it was in great condition and low mileage. However, that was the going rate at the time. An identical UK spec with double the mileage and not such good condition was £19k !

he may have had the car for some time and spent coin on it but when myself and mr lack was there listening to him tony asked him about the wheels to which he replied that he'd got them only a year ago and they'd stood him at over 3 grand which was clearly bollox as tony had only just put his 19's on and had cost him less than the supposed one year old wheels which again was bollox as they were the same wheels as the year before

Was it carbonfibre Jaylox then who payed 20K?

4.5 horses (.5 is that phatumpsh shetland that pulls the elastic bobbles on yer fleece while you ain't looking and lets go causing the wearer much pain) that do fcuk all apart from eat, shit and sleep! 3 Rottenweillers (nutters that try to kill each other on a daily basis), 2 mongrels one of which is now a dinosaur and drinks bowls of my San Miguel of a weekend then stumbles around leo'd until he falls over and sleeps it off.

Wild rabbits which know they're onto a good thing in the fields and stick two claws up everytime we go outside as they're usually sunbathing and can't be arsed scurrying back into their holes.

Domestic rabbit that does the hoovering and washing up and tries to roger the guinea pig regularly. All you can hear from the hutch is the rabbit running round saying "Squeal like a pig pig!!! Weeeeee, Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

Swallows nesting in the garage that object vocally if I go into my own garage to get something.

Oh and a cat that has eaten so much over the years it's more like a black, furry zeppelin with legs shorter than a beagle and amazes veternary science as to how it moves from one place to another with no visible moving parts.

No ducks though bud! LMFAO biggrin.gif
