engine wiring loom?

Does anyone connect the knock sensor on the block back up again ? or do you cut the wire and extend it from the plug so you can connect it to the loom when the engine is back in the car cos it doesn't seem possible to connect it back up with the manifold on.

    Sorry just found the cable in the box,damaged though anyone got a spare?
