and the verdict is...................

I feel as though there should have been a little more action, the story line is a little political but by far the best performance i have seen for a long time is the joker, the best character performance i have seen in a movie for a long long time, just wished he had been in it a little more, and if im honest i dont think they got it all finished befiore he died. would have been better if there was 1 final showdown between him and the batman, a very good film overall and the soundtrack makes it really dramatic again

defo worth a watch but i think i built it up too much in my head cos i love batman begins so much

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Was really looking forward to it.

Came out disappointed.

It's in serious need of editing: it was just too damn long with several unecessary scenes that caused it to lose impetus and drag.

Bale is one of my favorite actors but for some reason, probably the script, his performance didn't grab me like the first movie (which was exceptional).

Ledger's performance on the other hand was spot on. In fact I left feeling I wanted more screen time for the Joker. Shame we won't get that again.

I'm all for dark, brooding plots and political nuances but the balance, for me, was just too biased against the action scenes...they seemed few and far between and not as memorable as the first film.

B- : could've done better ;)

I thought some bits they were trying to compete to see wh could make their voice go the lowest but i have to say, joker made an impact on me. Brilliant portrayal of the character, truly unhinged and funny but scary.

The special effects on harvey dent were quite frankly amazing without giving too much away.

I think the whole thing was great although it could have done with being about 30 mins shorter.

I still love tim burton's batman and still think michael keaton fitted batman perfectly (the roger moore of the batmen :) ), comic book visuals, the dark styling in returns and the music made the film.

I don't know, i still think begins/dark knight don't really feel like batman films to me, they're sort of like casino royale to the rest of the bond films.

Too serious and not enough fun and action

I absolutley loved it. It's the best film I've seen in years, the cinematography, the music, all perfect. And the performances from both Bale and Ledger were some of the best.

I won't admit to how many times I've now seen it, but suffice to say I'm off to the IMAX at the end of the month to see it in all it's wide screen glory :)

Watchd loved it... felt it was a little too long// but over all i loved it...

FYI Ledger died way after this film was finished, he was actully filming something else ;) so unforchanatly that was it from the joker, i too felt it missed something......

Am I the only person who thought that Ledger's performance while good wasn't worthy of all the praise and that Bale's portrayal of a man torn between two lives, one hindered by the hideous excess expected of him, the other of a symbol with unlimited power he's wrestling to control and understand, was a far superior performance and on that really grabbed me?

I saw once with my youngest and was a little disapointed because there was a lot of political intreauge and charactor analysis.

Then my daughter wanted to go watch it and on second veiwing it was so much better. IMO better than the first having seen it twice.

watched it last night just enjoyed it for what it is!

dan.:smash:

Just been to see it. Absolutely loved it. I was a bit skeptical about the ledger hype (although I've seen him in a lot of stuff prior, and always liked him) I'd just imagined it was the typical over-hype you get after a person dies....but no, he really was superb...as was Bale, one of my fav actors since American Psycho (2000).

Was uncomfortably long, but you get a lot for you money.

i have him hype and i didn't even know he was dead. Kind of been living under a rock with all the hours iv been doing at work

The thing that ruined it for me was the actress who played Rachel, 1 i didn't know the actress had changed before i watched it, 2 she's not a good actress, 3 she's not attractive!!! so the important relationship between bruce - rachel - harvey wasn't believable at all and just ruined the film!!

She's Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jake's Sister (the lead actor in donnie darko?)

She was a bit miss-cast in my opinion, she was much much better in secretary (what a great film that is), she's not really hollywood blockbuster material better in smaller kitch movies.

Secretary come highly recommended :)

yeh i agree, tom cruise bird was much better, she was a bit shit, and a bit masculine too.

just got back from seeing this and wow what a film!!! it did kind of go on for a bit, as if they tried to shoehorn too much in, but the action scenes and build-ups were awesome!!!

I agree about Ledger, but although Bale is usually great too, I thought he sucked as Batman in this film (he was OK in the first he did).
