Now then Now then

Since it looks like we're sorted for september with the Box Hill to Brighton run, and we did a North to South Run down the centre of our area. The question is, yet again, what do you fancy doing?

Unfortunatly my personal life has taken over alot the last few weeks with the recent death of one of my close friends and the impending death of my dad, so i dont have the spare grey matter to thing of anything new and original. The only possible thing i can think of is the below:

Does anyone fancy getting the blood flowing with something on the "active side" of things, maye be Go Ape in Bracknell http://www.goape.co.uk/

Or maybe we could have a low key get together and have a BBQ.....

Feel free to suggest something.... please

Nick

That go ape looks really cool but question.. why is everything happening on the east side? There are alot of members southampton/bournemouth side of the South Central and the past lot and the next one is up your neck of the woods... :(

The North to South Run ended up in Hayling Island last weekend, but no-one from southampton or Portsmouth, or any of the south coast, came.

I couldnt see anyother Go Ape site anywhere our region.

But Like i said im open to suggestions

fair enough,

a fair few south central members come from the areas below...

Bournemouth -> Hayling Island is 55ish miles.

Southampton - Hayling Island is 22ish miles (ok not so bad)

Swindon - Hayling Island is 80ish miles

Salisbury - Hayling Island is 45ish miles

IOW - Hayling Island is 27.3 miles (again not too bad)

Not saying that you have to have them on our door steps, and I know you can't please everyone all the time....

Maybe try get a little closer to everyone else every now and again...

maybe one month in new forest that could cover bournemouth/southampton/salisbury/poole and others willing to travel

maybe one month in salisbury, there are some nice areas up there that could cover southampton/bournemouth/swindon/basingstoke and others willing to travel

see where Im coming from? :) Just trying to gain some interest for the SC :) Not having a pop at you or the way you run the South Central meets .... am sure you do a great job (not had the chance to get a a meet since you taken over, but will hopefully try) :)

That what i was trying to achive with having several start points with the North 2 South run, but point taken :D

Yeah, thats a good idea, cheers. TBH i dont know the area too well, especially the bigger towns/citys like So'ton and P'mouth, hence why i tried with the venue recommendation thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113424, but it hasnt had much input so far

Im not the sort of person who takes constructive criticism badly, any help that people want to offer with suggestions for meets, venues etc ill take with a beaming smile. All i want is to be able to offer good meets for people to enjoy :D
