I'm going back to Illustrating after a 20 year gap and the Artists agent who is working for me thinks I should finish these half finished projects and commisions as he beleives there is a big demand for the Fantasy and Erotica type of work. What do you guys think.

these are all 20 years old and the stuff I do now is a bit different, but the agents think I'll make more money going back to this sort of stuff and want me to go back and finish them.

I'd go for it :D (if you have the time of course!!)

The agent probably knows best, after all isn't that what you would be paying him for, his experience.

 

If you have time then you should finnish them.

I do have a penchant for fantasy art - Vallejo, Julie Bell, Giger etc. You seen to have the knack for sure :)

I'm a big Jim Burns Fan and Patrick Woodrough once he gave up the LSD. also Peter Sinfield (mainly his poetry.) John Martin the religious Painter is one of my favourites. check out Judgement day and Worlds end. There in lies the well spring of fantasy art.

 

I used to like Vallejo but he's a bit pervy.

 

Mostly been doing portrates and people horses of late. Good money in it.

Good to finally see some of your work matey. The one with the kneeling horned girl reminds me, stylistically, a little of Dorian Cleavengers work. If you don't know him, check him out sometime. He focuses a little more on fantasy pin-up art rather than traditional sword and sorcery (mainly acrylic on board) but it's still worth a peek. And he earns a packet from it ;)

MMMMM I'll check him out. Could be a good excuse to have lots of young nubile Chicks, Ha um, I mean models round the house.

 

I sort of wondered away from the whole Errotica Art thing. When i was doing it in the mid 80's it was very fringe. Geoff recons I'll make a killing doing this sort of stuff. I'm just a bit uneasy about a bloke my age doing this kind of work looking like a perv.

Thank you good sir. As above wasn't sure about What my agent was saying so I though you lot are a mixed bunch of ages and backgrounds I'd get a feel for whether it would be right thing to do. Unless the people who don't like it are being polite, which would be a first for this place then it seem he was right. I'll finish them and a few more I have.
