Hi There

My UKTT Auto is going into see Mike at Eastern Autos in Brentwood in the next couple of weeks and she currently has new Tubs and boost jets fitted, by previous owner, I am considering going over to a boost controller, as I want a little more flexibility and also a little concerned that my stock engine over time will not get on with the increased boost of the jets, however there is obviously a pretty big cost implication, is it worth it? she currently has enough power for me at the moment, so I am not looking at trying to get mega figures out of her,

Thanks

chris

Best thing about the Electronic controller is they you can turn it down when it rains or the road is bad, you have more control and if you want a tad more boost to show that pesky porsche a clean set of heels just turn the knob:)

A TT fitted with a Electronic boost controller will be quicker than it will with Boost jets.

An EBC allows you to control the way the car builds up the boost, it will build up quicker with an EBC, plus a EBC will hold the desired boost through the entire rev range, whereas Boostjets tend to spike and then drop down as the revs build.

They also usually double as a Boost gauge, and many have other features too. You can get decent EBC's from £150+

That is pretty helpful, I like the idea of the flexibility, plus the engine has done 120k and I am a little worried that increase boost of the jets currently fitted will make her go bang!

However you know my next question what one! I have the Apexi AVC has been recomended, I am kinda guessing they all do a similar thing!

ive not really heard a bad thing said about all the major ones. i started off with jets, then went on to a Blitz DSBC-R, now have a GReddy Profec E-01

I've got the Apexi AVC, great bit of kit. Need someone to set it up properly but the power and flexibility is good. looks the nuts as well:)
