WTF!!!!!

did a compression test on number 6 and it came back almost zero, added some oil, still zero must be a valve or the headgasket , im not getting any smoke at all, just waiting for my mechanic to call back...

Having a bit of a nightmare at the mo :(

Looks like its coming apart again. :(

just thought of something, now that i have my 555 chip installed what kinda mode will the ecu send out when a o2 sensor is faulty, will it still be mapped to richen the mixture for 370cc injectors, wouldnt this in turn make it really overly rich? just a thought.

You may be dogging in the wrong car park, sorry, barking up the wrong tree, if the sensor is duff/bad connection though.

I'd test the sensor first to make sure the ecu can get a signal.

if both o2's are disconnected the right side still has a reading on the centre wire so should the left but it doesnt.

your ecu wiring looks as it should do.The looms do have tape around like that as there are splices of common live wires to all the sensors in the engine bay. Most of the sensors will have a red/black live which is shared.Test this at the o2 sensor in question. You should have an earth and a shielded wire which is in the middle iirc.If you connect a multimeter to the signal wire and rev the car to around 2500rpm the voltage should rise and fall rapidly. If you need the ecu pin numbers for the sensor drop me a pm.

if it helps i took out my ecu and refitted it once and i lost readings from a 02 sensor . basically i overtightened the ecu loom connector into the ecu causing the connector not to sit correctly on the plug.

Right, basically there was no reading from the passenger side O2, nothing at the sensor connector and nothing at the ECU pin (conzult had nothing so a multimeter was used at the connector and ECU pin). From what I understand, the ECU has been changed and still the same problem, nothing out of the ECU pin for the left O2.

Jimmer, should he get a voltage if the engine's not reved? He gets a voltage on the right O2?

Yes it should read like the other one at idle.As well as checking for voltage check the shielding on the wire isnt touching the inner core. The outer core is earthed.Using the meter on continuity, connect one probe to the outer core and one to the inner with the sensor unplugged.if it beeps you have a short.I had this on my zed and the ecu didnt receive the reading.Even though the de fault for an 02 sensor signal not being received is for the car to run rich it would still run fine.Mine never suffered running wise it just drank fuel.

Cheers Jimmer, don't believe that's been checked, sure he'll be doing that in the morning ;)

Any other reason you can think of why there wouldn't be a signal?

Whats the inner core& outer core do you mean the red wire and black wire? and the shielding do you mean rubber around the wires? im not following you!!! but im sure il understand if you explain it again in a kinda idiot way :D
