hi there new to the forum and the Z my problem is that my car radomly smokes it seems to happen more when stuck in traffic and pottering around then if i boot it and stop no smoke would this still be the seals or not??? :cry:sorry it's a Z32 2+2 manual thanks for looking any advise welcome:)

sounds just like a Valve seal problem mate. Does it smoke when you first start it in the morning or after a shortish rest?

could be the PVC valves, sounds a bit like what mine used to do. It would smoke when it was left idling and then start accelerating, would clear up after a bit.

what colour is the smoke mate? does it come from both sides or just one?

the smoke is blue ish it seems to come more from the off side pipe but some out of both thanks so far been looking at joining can you pay by card??

id say PCV valves too as mine also had this problem that was fixed by changing them

yours isnt a blue one with a reg that ends in ROR? Just ive seen it around and no idea who's it is.

Your best bet is to take it to Paul@SWZ or Jimmer, there are a few other people around bristol that can help but they are the pros and work on zeds everyday.

 

Could you manage to make it to the meet on sunday? If you could i think we would be able to see if it is pcv or turbo seals gone, the meet is the top post (or one of them) in the Avon thread,

funny that the copper that stopped me the second night i moved in said the same thing
