Thanks to people who replied to my previous post.

I fitted a SONY head unit today in place of the OE Clarion model. It fits okay, but there is no way I can get the plastic surround to fit, any one had this problem before? What do you do?

Also reading throught the service manual I found out the AMP is for the rear speakers, however - It doesn't say where it is. Is it in the back of the car, or should it be in with the Head Unit? If it should, mine must have been missing.

Thanks again.

I had the same problem with the plastic surround from my Kenwood CD not fitting round the stereo, I thought it was 'cos the car's an import.

I just left it off.

I found the Amp in the housing for the rear, driver's side, speaker. If you take this speaker out, then you will see the Amp down the bottom of the plastic housing. Word of warning, this was for my Import 2 Seater, but I think this is also shown to be the same place in Bob's (UK spec) CD-ROM.

Good luck. Geoff
