I have just gone to my local Kwik-fit to get the air con re-gassed and they didn't have the right connector. Mine is an import.

Does anyone know anywhere arounf the Northamptonshire area that can re-gas or can provide a conversion and how much ?

Thanks

Mark

it will have the smaller connectors for the R12...you can get a drop in gas and still retrain the connectors but limited places do it...hth:)

Hi I took my import to KwikF here in Bristol, the connection required an adaptor which they actually did have so they could connect up. The issue with mine was that although their guages showed no leaks, guages are not sensitive enough to show anything other than a major leak, my aircon condenser/rad did have a leak as shown to me by the guy who eventually fixed it (Mr Cool), by the simple expedient of looking at the rad, seeing staining in one corner suggestive of a leak then spraying leak tester on it to prove it and seeing the bubbles. I don't think that particular guy at KwikF was really capable of any diagnostics.

Cheers
