I have got an AEM that will eventually be fitted to my Z. It is the one without the built in UEGO. I am just about to place an order for some parts and was wondering if these AEM parts are worthwhile getting?

AEM Air intake Temp sensor with wire harness

AEM 3.5 bar MAP or 50 PSIA Sensor Kit

AEM Dual Channel UEGO Kit

AEM Capacitive Digital Ignition MODULE - 4 or 8 Channel?

I will be running 740CC injectors and a Doolz intake with JWT Pop Chargers.

Also i have been told that the AEM has built in programmable traction control. I already have a racelogic system which was removed from my old Z and wondered what would be best to do, run the AEM traction control or the racelogic setup?

Well you will need the air intake sensor, you will need the dual uego kit as its a twin setup, unless your going stupid power then you dont really need the ignition module and i would recommend getting the 3.5 bar map sensor then you can ditch the AFM :)

Mike

agree with what Mike said.

For the TC, the AEM module is very basic compared to the Racelogic one. AEM have no intention of improving it as TC is banned in a several Race series which would then cause problems for those with AEM ecu's.

Cheers Kirbz, was thinking ditch the AFM. Running GT675RS tubs, dont know what sort of final power i will get. I take it that it wont be enough to warrant the ignition module?

no you wont need it yet, for that power your gonna be at the AFM's limit anyway so yeh get the MAP sensor :)

as jaffa says the traction does work but is very basic but it does work, the launch works very well but if you do get it set up make sure you dont use it too much as it WILL fook your turbos over time ;) but it does sound cool :hyper:

I will stick with the Racelogic setup then for the TC. It has launch control on it already! Cheers for the advice, will remove the Ignition Module from my shopping list!

as what the other guys says ,, don't need ign, but map sensor a must

Bazz is the AEM Capacitive Digital Ignition MODULE the thing that makes your sparks stronger? If it is i hear i was adviced against the Aem and the HKS DLI is a much better product.

As for the Traction Control, i have a Aem and decided to use Race Logic because the Race Logic works off the abs sensors to detect wheel spin as where the Aem works in a way that you do the best run you can, record it and then it will cut the power to meet the same parametors as that run well something like that. So if the road conditions change slightly or you change any parts on your car then that recorded run is pointless. Basically the Aem traction control is only any good if it was to be used the same day it was setup.

I also have the map sensor and the Uego thingy but i was also adviced to get the guage purely for diagnostics and to make sure it stays in the safe zone.
