stupid problem really

Car is undergoing MOT - I have 17" Super Advan Alloys which came with the car and when I have previously had my wheels changed the locking wheel nut was broken open (since there was no key that came with them)

I therefore have four missing wheels nuts!

Not being au fait with wheel nuts where can i get hold of some non locking replacements which will be compatible with my alloys (or do I have to buy a bunch and test them all to see if they fit?)

HONESTLY! I was gonna say that exact thing, but thought best not

I'd be interested in this as well as my nuts were rounded off when I bought them! Not a thing will make them turn...

Maybe Athene can help you

Honestly i'll stop now :p

Seriously I'm gonna stop reading this thread.... :x:

but I think Halfords do universal locking nut things... think you just buy based on the nut size...

hahahaaa

^ pmsl...

um.... not sure really - maybe chuck some lube on there ... squirt a bit of oil or something (obviously nothing harmful to your wheels) - but that would just make the ratchet thingy spin round and round and have no grip.....

lol..no, no..the nuts were so tight the ratchet sheared and broke completely! The wrench won't even budge it...not even with someone jumping on the end of it!!

Easiest thing to do is to take it to a tyre place and they can use an air tool to undo them :)

ouch! lol...yea, will do but need to source some shiny new nuts first. I have seen the ones in halfords but convinced they're worth the money to be honest...so still on the lookout and in the meantime hoping I don't get a flat!
