this car is coming to ireland, i have seen the new owner post up on sites over here about it, sourced by newera he says it will be standing him 23,000euro landed and cleared of duty, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, looks stunning

both that blue one and the silver one on page 1 are jaw-dropping   the 240, along with all Zs really, are truly timeless

Sadly I didn't go through with the purchase of the 240Z, just couldn't get on with the relative lack of performance and general drive, no power steering, etc, etc I travelled nearly a 100 miles one way and seller understood where I was coming from... was a nice car just not for me...

In response to that Lee, on a personal note I could not give a rats ass about performance and drive quality, just to be driving a car that beautiful is all I would need. If I had 15k it would be between an old NSX and a 240z and I really think the 240z would win.

I really do think the 240z is a peach of a car, it might be slow in the grand scale of things but why would you want to drive it fast? drive it slow because every man and his dog would be looking, wondering what it was!

Perhaps I should have explained more, it had a turbo conversion but was not a great set-up, ie a single carb mounted just behind the turbo, not an ideal location in any case, then the single carb was feeding the six cylinders so it had a poor idle and would cut out/stutter on boost unless choke quarter pulled... a troublesome set-up really, there were a few other reasons but my main issue was the poor running of the turbo set-up and the poor/lack of performance this gave... IMHO the original 3 carb set-up would have been far better left alone!! the guy understood and was cool about it because the under bidder had seen the car and was happy to pay what I bidded so he din't incurr any fee's or a loss of a sale:)
