I got a job offer on Friday last week which I am over the moon about. Got increasingly sick and tired of the company politics, the way the company treated people, some individuals within the company, the fact that my job spec had changed numberous times that I decided to look for employment elsewhere.

The company I will now work for have been hunting for the right person for 6 months, so it gives me more of a sense of accomplishment to get the job. My final interview was with 5 people over 2 seperated interviews which was quite daunting, but I obviously did well as there was absolutely zero negative feedback from any of the interviewers, even the MD!

Well, I'm kinda into limbo with my current job. Obviously I am now going to hand in my 1 month notice which I am happy about, although feel a little sorry for my boss as he's been a great mentor and very good boss. But, I just don't know what to do today. I was supposed to go into the Bristol office today, but don't even know if I can be bothered with that. Might just leave the house late and drive to a different office.

Feel a little dis-jointed actually, a little like the company I work for!

Congratulations Si.

It's always impressive when a company has been trying to fill a position for a long time and have had a lot of applicants. You've obviously got something they needed.

What is it you do ?

you still need to put the effort into your old work mate even if your leaving !

you even said you feel sorry for your boss.

congrats by the way !

As above Si, also they will probably require some sort of reference from them anyway. Well done tho' Si, there is nothing more sole destroying than when companies keep changing the goal posts without any consideration to its staff.

Thanks. :)

I'm a business development engineer. I'll be doing a similar job when I start with my new company except I'm changing industries slightly. Moving over to the electronic OEM market.

Well done Si...

Glad things are looking up for you especially after the London fiasco !

Tony

You want to try working for a public company then.

First I worked for the undeground, then we were going to be privatised so it all changed, then we were privatised so it all changed again, then we went bust and nothing changed and now we are back in the fold of Tfl.

Well done and good luck in the new job anyway.
