Right then, the luck has struck again!!! I go and get a SatNav yesterday and get all excited. I run back to the car to plug in to get ready for my maiden voyage and guess what.........the lighter socket doesn't work. Is there any resistor or anything that goes before i start stripping the dash. (haven't a tester cus that went tits up yesterday!!!) AAAAAAAAaaRRRRRRRR:cry: Ive checked the fuse and thats ok.

Right, this happened to me, BUT i was on the way back on the M25 at 1am in the morning, had to stay at a friends.

 

First check the connector is plugged in :) , second check for any rust on the bolt or inside the ciq lighter socket, mine was the rust, i got rid of it all and now it works :)

Cheers buddy, yer mines rusty aswell. Will clean now. Strange how they rust??
