I'm pretty sure by now quite a few of you have one of these?

How have you found yours? After all the Hype about it and friends, family etc saying they're fantastic, i'm not to impressed. The graphics are really poor, even the PS2 is better, and the sensor bar thing, no matter where u put it never seems to pic up your movements that well, always seems really slow!

Its pretty good fun but if it was'nt for our little one, i don't think i'd bother.

your standing too close or too far from the sensor is what i found...as to the graphics i heard they deliberately went low res on them to save on costs and spent time an money instead on the playability aspects of the wii games...i.e. more fun for a wider age group...they also decided not to compete with PS/Xbox and wanted to be really different hence the nunchuck & wii fit board etc etc ....that said i never get to play on it either as the kids are always there first :D

Thanks Uno, think we probably too close. Not got the biggest of living rooms unfortunately.

I bought one in october 07 for about £220. Got a bundle of games with it and 2 controllers and nunchucks. Finished Resident Eveil 4, played WII sports and big brain academy and got bored stupid with it after about a month. Was good for new people who came round but thought I would rather prefer a X box 360 or something, Wife agreed and when the Wii was sold out just before christmas I saw an opening and sold it for £450. Double the price that's why they call me terry tibbs.

Wii rocks. Nintendo will always be a bit behind as far as processing power/graphics capabilities goes, but that's missing the point. Great graphics do not a great game make. What Ninty do better than everyone else is innovate. Which other company could've got girls actually interested in games on the scale that they have? Sure, you'll always get a few fan-girls on any console, but Wii has made it a mass market proposition. Which other company can claim to have created so many new game playing experiences over the years? Which other company has so many high quality games (averaged over the lifetime sales of a console)?

Nintendo is the most important video game company ever - and probably always will be. But the absolute best thing about Nintendo is the genius that is Shigeru Miyamoto.

Same here.....occasional bit of fun with the kids on the Wii, but for proper gaming i hit the Xbox360. Addicted to GTA IV at the moment.

Got a 360 and a Wii. You can just walk in to our local Tesco and buy a Wii these days.

I play the 360 for stuff like Halo and Gears of War etc.

Got the Wii for Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess etc.

Now it seems not to be working as well again. Anyone know what the min and max distance is for sensor bar and what height to have it at? Just cant seem to get it right!

the glass table reaks havock too, we found moving shiny things that get in the way of the infa red helped

Nintendo always produced legendary consoles and gaming. If you want graphics and HD a strong Pc all the way with a gf 9800gtx. Nintendo know what they're doing though Exclusive titles that are untouchable for playability and you will always remember them.
