just need some advise guys,i have recently aquired a paul bailey high rise spoiler, same as mac1, i also have tailgate skin,taken my car to my paintshop to be fitted and sprayed,my sprayer has raised concerns about fitting it with tailgate skin,due to weight of spoiler,any guys out there gone down same route any probs with cracking(tailgate) etc...any advise welcome.

Got mine back last week. Bodyshop didnt air any concerns although they did say it was a tw*t of a job. ChrisC and loads of others have had this done.

 

if its done properly it won't crack, MAC1's has'nt cracked and its been on years. as for a normal skin you may have problems in the future as they are only thin whereas MACS is a proper one

what do you mean by normal skin?bud ,mines a fibreglass tailgate from z centre

I think what snowy means is MAC's is an fibreglass OEM spoiler replica which has been blended into the high rise spoiler. What ive got is the tailgate skin with the high rise plonked on top

Mine is the exact same spoiler as Mac's Although I believe Mac also has a standard fiber glass spoiler under his.

 

The hardest thing about fitting these spoilers is getting them straight and by straight I mean the sides should line up with the tailgate line. Sometimes copies of these spoilers are not straight so when you fit them the top of the spoiler is at a different angle.

are you looking to keep the rear spoiler lip under a high level spoiler? If so I'll be selling spoiler that replicates the stock spoiler but doesn't have the sides so you can fit a high level spoiler ;)

Ok just to clarify I have a Genuine Paul Bailey rear spoiler with a lower fiberglass spoiler that has the ends trimmed off and blended in to make it look as one :)

is'nt your standard spoiler extended too ian, or does it just look it cos its been blended so well by pete the master painter, lol.

 

p.s you found that carbon gear shift yet.

extended as in sits further out than a standard 1, like james funge's spoiler, as for meeting up, whenever is bes for you apart from tommorrow night cos Andreas comin home from spain so i wanna see her and my son but anytime after that is fine by me, just p.m me
