I may have a suggestion for you there........!

........the girl I work with gave me a lift home yesterday and the gear knob in her 06 plate Fiesta Zetec looked very very much like that one!

Sure it wasn't leather but I'd guess that a 'knob from the top of the range ST model may be better trimmed; perhaps other cars in the Ford line up have similar knobs too?

Richard:cool:

The Focus Zetec gear knob looks like that too.

picture from a test fit, still needs a bit more wiring but getting there.

Whats hillarious there is that you were looking at the gear knob in her car, and not her! HEHE

Almost as bad as pete not noticing his wife had done her hair but did notice that i didnt have the centre caps in my wheels anymore!

Most unique thing about mine, is the dent in the side. I bet no ones got one like it!

I'm a true gentleman......:D

But doesn't one have to move one's gaze to something else just when one is about to get caught looking?

Richard;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Ive put a low profile led in the passenger door handle trim and wired to a momentary push button under the light pod, as at night a passenger can never find the bloody door handle, when pushed it lights up behind the handle, giving a nice glow.

Anypics ?

i will take some later when its dark, so you can see it in its glory, it would probably be too distracting to leave on all the time with the side lights, but with a push button, works perfectly

I can see a group buy coming!!!!:nana2::dance:

Doing the led on the handle cowel is not too bad a job, but you would still need to run a live feed through the door, past the glovebox, behind the radio console to the light pod, then splice into the light feed. Not hard just a bit time consuming.

I will do a little write up on how to, so that anyone wants to give it a go themselves will be able to follow the guide easily.

Cobra seats!! DSC02071.jpg

How long ago did you buy those. I was bidding on some just the same and one person was bidding against me. Did you have a max bid amount of £600. Because i was prepared to go to £600 but was told I'd need to bid £605 and pulled out. Was it you?

Cobra Misano seats are £700 each for the fabric seats they are £ 900 cheapest place I found for leather

ooo...this looks interesting...what does it do then??

Having watched the video of the story of your car sir, I take your compliment in the highest regard! (Oooh er I've gone all Dickensan again!).

Oh well start as you meam to go on......

To obtain such fake suede thou shalt first try Mrs Miggins in the Town Square next door to the Snuff shop, she has many curious items imported from the four corners of the earth.

3,2,1 and your back in the room!

Failing that try my mate duncan at AI Audio in Slough 01753 575220. The stuff he uses is the next best thing to Alcantara it's self but half the price and still has some stretch in it.

Do you think this stuff your mate sells could be used on all the interior panels as its 'like alcantara' or would it be better suited to smaller panels like the gauge hood?
